Practiced since as early as the Sung Dynasty (960AD-1270AD), Facial Acupuncture is a non-surgical acupuncture treatment designed to rejuvenate the body and face.
Fast, luxurious, and painless, Cosmetic and Facial Acupuncture offers the perfect solution for those looking for a new beginning without the risk, costs, complications, and stigma of surgery.
Reduce wrinkles, eye bags, dark circles, puffiness, age spots, and “crow’s feet.” Increase collagen, muscle tone, and moisture in your skin. Eliminate fine lines, discoloration, stress and anxiety.
Brighten eyes, lift eyelids, firm jowls, and tighten pores. Acupuncture Facial Rejuvenation lets you lose the stuff you don’t want, and keep the stuff you do.
How Many Treatments?
A typical facial rejuvenation course of treatment consists of between 8 to 12 treatments, but you can have as many or has few as you choose.
Typically, you can expect to see effects after the first or second treatment and results become more noticeable and lasting around the seventh session.
A person’s daily exposure to toxins and other elements also contributes to the ultimate duration of the course.
Can it really make a difference?
It can. Acupuncture has proven itself over thousands of years. Reduction in wrinkles around the face and “crow’s feet” around the eyes can be very dramatic. However, the lifestyles of the individual come into play as well. Insufficient sleep, or high exposure to sun or smoke, for example, can impede progress. Ask you practitioner for tips on maintaining a healthy lifestyle and maximizing your Facial Rejuvenation goals.
Does it hurt?
No. Every person’s discomfort level with acupuncture needles is different, but the face needles are ultra-thin acupuncture needles and are virtually undetectable when inserted.
How long do the results last?
The most dramatic results can last anywhere from 18 months to three years. Some benefits will stay with you forever. Acupuncture Facial Rejuvenation repairs and restores the health and vitality that your skin enjoyed in prior years. But time and gravity are inevitable, and your skin may eventually become damaged again. To curb this result, you can repeat the full course of treatment altogether down the road, or come in for periodic maintenance treatments. Unlike cosmetic surgery, no one will ever tell you that you’ve had too much acupuncture.

Facial Cupping
Using small glass or silicone cups, this therapy increases oxygen rich circulation, strengthens skin and connective tissues leaving your skin glowing and bright. This wonderful modality will produce collagen and elastin, reduce fine lines and wrinkles over time. Results are cumulative.
The cups gently pull blood to the surface of the skin, stimulating collagen and tightening the elasticity of the skin. During this process, lymph is being moved, so its important to not just move the cups up the face, but also gently move them down the sides of the face to allow the lymph to be moved down the body and then naturally eliminated. Because of the stretching and pulling of the skin, cupping helps release tension in the face.
Depending on the sensitivity level of your skin, you can experience a bit of redness. But it usually does not last more than a few hours.
Gua sha
Gua sha is a natural, alternative therapy that involves scraping your skin with a massage tool to improve your circulation. This ancient Chinese healing technique may offer a unique approach to better health, addressing issues like chronic pain.
In gua sha, a technician scrapes your skin with short or long strokes to stimulate microcirculation of the soft tissue, which increases blood flow. They make these strokes with a smooth-edged instrument known as a gua massage tool. The technician applies massage oil to your skin, and then uses the tool to repeatedly scrape your skin in a downward motion.
Gua sha is intended to address stagnant energy, called Qi, in the body that practitioners believe may be responsible for inflammation. Inflammation is the underlying cause of several conditions associated with chronic pain. Rubbing the skin’s surface is thought to help break up this energy, reduce inflammation, and promote healing.
During facial Gua sha, the strokes are smaller and and involves gentle stroking of the skin to open up the energetic pathways of the face. Key benefits of facial Gua Sha:
- eliminates congestion and detoxifies skin.
- boosts blood circulation to the tissues and brightens skin tone.
- drains lymphatic fluid to reduce under eye puffiness.
- releases tension of facial muscles and fascia tissue, particularly around the jaw.
- encourages an overall lifting and definition of facial muscles.
